A new noise in the scene, King Hit is a Pōneke-based four-piece melding the abrasiveness of shoegaze and the punch of hardcore with the melancholy of Midwest-emo.
Originally conceived as a three-piece by principal songwriter, guitarist and frontman Stefan Jenkins, King Hit cut their teeth in the Wellington underground scene for the first half of 2025 before adding Caitlin Gabb on guitar and vocals, joining bassist Felix Bird and drummer Ocean Faloon-Cavander as architects of the band’s formidable wall of noise.

The members of King Hit are currently in the midst of writing and recording their debut album, expected to be released in mid-2027.
For the time being, the band has been gigging frequently over the past year, building an eager following and a cult-like fan base throughout the local Te Whanganui-a-Tara underground scene.
